Veseyans 2XV started this seasons merit league with a tough away fixture at Bournville, a side they struggled against last season. Work during pre-season paid off with solid performance from start to finish with, even the loss of captain Tony Hayes after 5 minutes not denting the teams spirits.
In total the team scored 12 tries, Tom Powell getting a 2nd half hat trick, with Jacob Hollins converting 8. The only blip was the solitary converted try conceded just before half time.
