Mark (Billy) Tonks, former 1st XV captain, chairman and now life member of the club, is once again walking his long way home this Sunday in aid of two amazing charities helping victims of domestic violence:
For those of you who don't know Mark and his reasons for this walk, Mark suffered a heart attack and triple bypass operation back in 2015. Since recovering, he's walking his annual walk of 38 miles (the distance between Stoke Uni Royal Hospital and the Crown pub in Four Oaks) to raise money for good causes - almost £39k in the past 5 years! Mark will be joined by a group of amazing fundraising buddies to complete the 12-14 hours of their 'Rock 'n Roll' stroll.
Here's a personal message from Mark:
"Good morning Elephants, its good to be back!
A little plug for my annual charity walk which I am doing on Sunday May 2nd. 38 miles celebrating 6 yrs of good health following my heart attack and triple by pass op. Raising money for 2 brilliant local charities helping victims of domestic violence which has increased significantly during the last 12 months. Your support will make an immediate impact on their lives as the funds a distributed weekly.
Thank you so much,
Cheers Billy 😎😎"
Please help them reach this year's fundraising target of £5k and help two amazing charities.
