It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Spud Murphy. He passed away on Thursday morning (9th) after battling illness for many years in his unmistakable cheery manner.
Spud was a great character and a true rugby man, well known and welcomed in rugby clubs all over the Midlands and beyond. He will be sadly missed by all at Veseyans Rugby and our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
Funeral arrangements will be confirmed on the website as advised by the family.
A minutes silence will be held to remember Spud before the 1stXV and 2nd XV games v Harborne at the club this Saturday, kicking off at 2.00 pm.
