Just a quick update to let everybody know whats been going on at the club as the start of the season gets ever closer!
The senior players and Colts have been back in pre-season training since mid June and will be playing pre-season friendlies at home on August 17th v Burntwood, and August 24th v Walsall (3.00pm kick offs).
All senior and Colts fixtures will be live on the club website within the next couple of weeks and fixture cards will be available in the clubhouse.
Our Micro, Mini, and Junior section training will commence on Sunday September 1st at 10.00am.
With the support of our fantastic sponsors the club has been able to invest again into the facilities and equipment at the club, and special thanks must be made to our title sponsors for a 2nd season, FMI Group Services Ltd, and also our new sponsors this season AKAAL ltd, ABCG LTD, Enoch Evans LLP, and Victorian Carriages.
Key improvements down at the club for next season are:
Pitch 3 (football) will now be a full size rugby pitch inc posts etc, giving us 4 pitches of which 2.5 are floodlit
Additional floodlighting installed to areas surrounding fitness marquee etc to provide additional training areas.
New car park fencing and surface improvements
Slabbed area installed to covered spectator area to pitch 1
Fully refurbished ladies toilets
New 75” 4KHD television to clubroom (ready for the world cup games all live at the club!)
Fully redecorated changing rooms and corridors, plus external decking and fencing etc
New items of equipment for gymnasium
New playing kit for all teams from Under 13s upwards
Free Replica 1st XV shirts for all Mini and Juniors as part of subs package
180 new rugby balls for all age groups, plus other items of equipment
We are all ready to go again and looking forward to seeing everybody down at the club! Let's have a great season, on and off the field!
